SAN MIGUEL MINE
The North American Coal Corporation began contract mining operations at the San Miguel Mine near Christine, Texas, in 1997. The mine is owned by San Miguel Electric Cooperative, Inc. The San Miguel mine delivers approximately 3.5 million tons of
coal per year. The operation utilizes a Marion® 8050 dragline
and a Page 740 dragline for overburden removal and reclaims
about 300 acres of land annually.
