NORTH AMERICAN MINING
North American Mining Company, a division of The North American Coal Corporation, provides dragline mining services to limerock operations in Florida owned by Rinker Materials of Florida, Inc. Tarmac America LLC, and Vecellio & Grogan, Inc. The limerock mined by North American Coal is used as construction aggregate throughout South Florida.
Since 1995, North American Mining's Florida Dragline Operations have provided limerock mining services to Vecellio & Grogan's White Rock Quarry in Miami-Dade County.
The company has provided limerock mining services to Rinker Materials’ Krome Quarry in Miami-Dade County since 2003. In 2004, the company expanded its services to include Rinker's Alico Quarry, and in 2005, further expanded its services to include Rinker Materials’ FEC Quarry.
The company also has provided limerock mining services to Tarmac America LLC's Pennsuco Quarry in Miami-Dade County since 2005.
